Entry Level Outside Sales New Business Development Reps are
responsible for generating & qualifying leads, and then working &
closing opportunities for new prospective Supply Chain Management services
clients. Most of their time should be spent on the phone or in front of
prospects. These salespeople will travel upwards to 50% of the time during
weekdays with an occasional weekend every few months.
Candidate should have a proven track record and passion for interacting with
people both on the phone and in-person for most of the week, every week. They
should enjoy the challenge of connecting with the person on the other end of
the phone, since that person often will not want to talk to the candidate at
the beginning. They will then need to qualify the lead to see if it makes sense
to continue to follow up with. Candidate needs to have a proven track record of
being able to work sales opportunities through to closure.
Candidate will be able to live and work out of their home
anywhere within the USA
accessible to an airport and with high speed Internet access.
The ability to communicate (verbally and written) and interact with all levels
of personnel is an important function of the job.
We seek highly motivated, teachable individuals who adapt easily to change, and
are not afraid to try something new.
We believe that a seasoned project manager who enjoys problem
solving for clients and may have considered moving into sales would be a good
fit for this position.
Requirements:
Required experience of at least 1-2 years with:
- Warehousing/Distribution
Environments
- Proven ability in selling
services (as opposed to products)
In addition, experience with any of the following is a
Plus:
- Warehouse Management Systems,
specifically: Manhattan Associates, Red Prairie, HighJump, Warehouse BOSS,
Provia, EXE, Catalyst, or Logistics PRO
- Transportation Management
Systems, specifically: Logistics PRO, Kewill, or Precision
- Labor Management Systems;
specifically: ProRep, and those by major WMS providers
- Operational Assessments
- Distribution Network Analysis
- Industrial Engineering
All candidates should:
- Have excellent communication
(written & oral) skills
- Love to talk to and connect
with new people on the phone and in-person all of the time
- Be able to handle “rejection”
on a regular, consistent basis
- Be willing to travel up to
50%
- Be open to relocation
- Work well in team environment
