Inside Sales New Business Development Reps are responsible for finding, qualifying, and tracking leads for new prospective Supply Chain Execution services clients. Most of their time will be spent on the phone, with some travel to potential client sites and a few tradeshows a year. These individuals will interface with the Outside Sales New Business Development team, who would then follow up on those leads through closure.

Candidate should have a proven track record and passion for talking on the phone throughout the day with individuals who they have never met. They should enjoy the challenge of connecting with the person on the other end of the phone, since they often will not want to talk to the individual at the beginning. They will then need to qualify the lead to see if it makes sense for an Outside Sales person to call on them.

These individuals will have the opportunity, if desired, to move into an Outside Sales position within 2-3 years, at which time they would be responsible for qualifying, following up with, and closing new deals.

Candidate will be able to live and work out of their home anywhere within the USA accessible to an airport and with high speed Internet access.

The ability to communicate (verbally and written) and interact with all levels of personnel is an important function of the job. This position may require upwards of 25% travel throughout the USA.

We seek highly motivated, teachable individuals who adapt easily to change, and are not afraid to try something new.

Requirements:

Required experience of at least 1-2 years with:
  • Warehousing/Distribution Environments
  • Proven ability to selling services (as opposed to products)
In addition, experience with any of the following is a Plus:
  • Warehouse Management Systems, specifically: Manhattan Associates, Red Prairie, HighJump, Warehouse BOSS, Provia, EXE, Catalyst, or Logistics PRO
  • Transportation Management Systems, specifically: Logistics PRO, Kewill, or Precision
  • Operational Assessments
  • Industrial Engineering
All candidates should:
  • Have excellent communication (written & oral) skills
  • Love to talk to and connect with new people on the phone all of the time
  • Be able to handle “rejection” on a regular, consistent basis
  • Be willing to travel up to 25%
  • Be open to relocation
  • Work well in team environment
  • Have a good work ethic and self-starting ability
